Hair Styles Fashion Trends to Check Out Before 2011 Summer Ends

Now that summer is in full swing, there is a plenty of stylish hairstyles. Some trends are just too outlandish but there are trends that are worth considering. For those of you who do not really follow trends, there are some trends this summer that are really classic and worth checking out, here they are:

Braids

Braids are the biggest hair trend this summer. You see them everywhere, on the red carpet, runways and on the streets. Braids in all forms, messy, formal, fishtail, French braid, updo braids, half updos with braid are everywhere. Its popularity could be due to the ease in creating braids, and hair does not even need to be blow dried. Braids can also be created in any hair type; straight, wavy or curly, thin, thick, fine or coarse hair. Braids can even be created in short hair and of course on long hair.

Beachy waves

Another great hair trend this summer is the beachy messy wavy hair look. You don’t have to live close to the ocean to create this super sexy hairstyle. All you need is to open up your braids and finger comb the curls (braids do create curls) to create that beachy messy look. Another way to create beachy wavy hair is with the use of sea salt spray. Spray it on damp hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers as they dry. Sea salt spray promotes curl and textures.

Ombre hair

Ombre hair is a hair color trend where hair goes from dark to light. This playful and magical hair color trend was started by Drew Barrymore and has been sported by more and more women. You can have it at its best from a hair salon although there are products that will help you create the ombre effect at home. Drew Barrymore has abandoned Ombre for red hair, but the trend is still being supported by many women.
