For every season there are some obvious trends that become apparent after the showing of the designer’s collection for a season. After the 2011 fall/winter collection, some of the most prominent fashion trends for fall that emerged are soft colors, big clutches, animal prints, and ombre colors. Some of these fall fashion trends are carryover summer fashion trends so that upgrading your wardrobe for the season will be easier and won’t be too expensive. Here are some of the more prominent fall fashion trends :

Soft colors
The colors for fall are as not as bright as the colors of spring and summer. Soft and subdued colors rather than vivid and flashy are hot for 2011 Fall fashion – Lavender, pale cantaloupe, spendthrift or honeydew. But bright and sunny colors of summer such as lemon and orange, as well as magenta, burgundy, grape or shiny colors, midnight blue and neutral colors were also seen on the runway.

Oversized clutch envelope bags
The 2011 Fall’s hottest bag trend is the oversized clutch envelop bag. It comes in an overabundance of vivid colors and exotic textures that could very well be the total carry-all, big enough to contain all the daytime essentials.

Animal prints
Fashion is still back in the wilds with the exotic animal prints as prominent for the Fall collections as it is this summer. Leopard dots are the most prominent on the runways for dresses, overcoats and footwear. Tiger and giraffe prints are also hot animal prints as 2011 Fall Fashion trend.

Leather skirts
For the 2011 Fall collections, designers came up with the new ways to rock leather skirts with interesting details such as panels, bows, pockets and pleats plus the addition of other materials such as suede. These edgy leather skirts are also an on-trend fashion item for 2011 Fall season. They look fabulous paired with casual-chic tops like shirt-like sweaters, neat sweat shirts or oversize sweaters or with an ultra feminine silk blouse.
